Utah Retirement Communities

Utah is a rather desolate state, although
it has a stark beauty. It is conservative politically and
populated by many Mormons, but if you are seeking a dry, warm climate,
it might be the spot for you.

Westwood Village This is an
older, small community, with roughly 300 homes, on 75 acres 25 miles
north of Salt Lake City. Homes are for sale and range in size
from 1,100 square feet to 2,400 square feet. Residents much be
55 or older, and the average age is 57. Children are not
allowed as residents, and their visits must be limited two weeks per
stay. Most seniors here are from in-state, with the rest
primarily from Arizona, Nevada and California. Hunting and
fishing are attractions here. |

Rio Virgin RV Park
This is a small community (roughly 100 homes on 40
acres) located in St. George in the southwestern corner of
Utah. Established in 1993, Rio Virgin RV Park is comprised of
manufactured homes and small single family homes ranging in size
from 400 square feet to 900 square feet. One person in each
house must be at least 55, and the average age is 60. Children
are not allowed as residents. RV lots are
available for lease, and the community backs onto the city greenbelt
and is within a day trip to beautiful Zion National Park.
