San Diego, California

Back to California

San Diego, California is the nation’s eighth largest city. It’s no wonder: it is home to more than 1.2 million people! San Diego is located in southern California, just north of the Mexican border. It shares the border with Tijuana, Mexico. It’s also located right on the pacific coast, so going to the beach is like taking a walk in the park.

The city experiences a semi-arid climate. For most of the year, the average temperature is a mild 72 degrees Fahrenheit. The average temperature makes it perfect weather to visit the San Diego beaches, which are known for their soft sand and surf. The weather is also perfect for checking out San Diego’s many reservoirs, where you can take out your boat, go fishing, or do some hiking.

San Diego has three municipal golf courses for the avid golfer, as well as for the beginner. The city is also home to Mission Bay Park, the largest aquatic park on the west coast. San Diego has many zoos and if you want more aquatic animals, SeaWorld is the place to go.

If you are looking for culture, you have found it in San Diego. There is the San Diego Symphony and the San Diego Opera. There are many museums throughout San Diego to check out. There’s even nearby Legoland for the grandkids.

San Diego is home to military facilities for the United States Navy, The Coast Guard, and the United States Marines
