Missouri Retirement Communities
Return to
Missouri
Missouri is often overlooked as a retirement state, but
several towns, including Columbia and Springfield, are great places to
retire thanks to their low taxes and affordable housing. There are
also some terrific retirement communities in the state.

Red Bridge Greens Red
Bridge Greens is a small but pretty, gated, 55+ retirement community
in Kansas City an attractive, gated, maintenance-free, patio-home
community for those age 55+ in Kansas City, Missouri. There
are only 50 homes spread across 9 acres and are four units to a
building. There are also "aging in place" services
for those who want o live here a long time and not move into a
different community for assisted living. This is a peaceful
spot, and homes are built on one level, face the street, have an
intercom and come with high ceilings The HOA fees covers snow
removal, building upkeep and trash pick up. |

Local in-home providers will come to help with everyday chores as
needed and companionship services include preparing meals, making
appointments, organizing medication and mail. Red Bridge
also has a free "de-cluttering" service, which people
figure out what to keep and what to throw away when they sell their
home.
More services and businesses, including a pharmacy, a bank, an
18-hole golf course and a public library, are just across the
street, and five hospitals are within 5 miles.
