There are 113 attractive independent living apartments with 14
floor plans; units have 1 bedroom, 2 bedrooms or 3 bedrooms and
all include a fully-equipped kitchen, full-size washer and dryer,
carpeting, large closets and air conditioning.
Independent living residents receive inclusive pricing which
includes move-in assistance, utilities (except phone), scheduled
transportation, a flexible dining plan, housekeeping services,
independent thermostat, cable-TV, take-out services and handyman
services.

Snow and trash removal, a wellness programs, 24 hour
emergency services, 24 hour security, banking services, internet
access and computer training are provided. A nurse is on duty
24 hours a day.
There are two types of entrance fee plans are
available for those interested in independent living. One is
the 90% refundable fee plan, which means that the amount you pay is
reduced by one percent for each month for the first ten months of
residency, and the other is the declining refund plan meaning that
the amount you pay is reduced by one percent each month of residency
for 100 months. In addition to the entrance fee, there
is a monthly service fee.
The assisted living wing (Chestnut Knoll Assisted
Living Wing) of Glenmeadow is for those who need help with ADLs
(activities of daily living), including bathing, eating, dressing,
etc., and a personalized plan is developed for each resident.
Long-term care insurance will usually cover these costs.
For those who want to stay in independent living but
who would like extra help in their own home, Glenmeadow offers
assisted living at home, in which caregivers provide companionship,
homemaking, and personal care services and more.
Glenmeadow has a great hall for movies and lectures,
an arts studio, a billiards room, a library, a woodshop, an indoor
pool with skylights, a bank and concierge, gardening areas, a gym, 2
dining rooms and a cafe.
