Maryland Retirement Communities
Return to Maryland
Maryland is often overlooked as a retirement state, but
several towns, including Silver Spring and Wheaton-Glenmont, are worth
checking out for retirement thanks to their clean air, average tax rates
and low crime rates (housing, though, is expensive). There
are also some terrific retirement communities in the state.

Central Parke at Victoria Falls Central
Parke at Victoria Falls is an award-winning community and is
appealing to those seeking easy-to-care-for single family and
condominium homes in a resort-like setting just 30 minutes from
Baltimore and 25 minutes from Washington, D.C. Not far off is
fun shopping, great cultural amenities and top-notch health care
options. When it is finished, this 55+ development will boast
609 residences. There is regularly scheduled
maintenance, a 13,500 square foot clubhouse with a Victorian theme
that houses a large indoor and outdoor pool, an auditorium and a
business center. Parks, museums, water activities, excellent
dining, sporting events and shopping are all within a 30 minute
drive. |
