Lynchburg, Virginia

The central Virginia city of Lynchburg boasts a population of 70,000 residents.  Known as the "City of Seven Hills," Lynchburg is located at the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Founded on 49.8 square miles by John Lynch, the primary industries for this area include nuclear technology and pharmaceuticals. Some of the major manufacturing plants in Lynchburg include Aerofin and Banker Steel.

Amtrak’s Crescent Train provides transportation to and from Lynchburg as well as the Lynchburg Regional Airport with service by Delta and US Airways. The climate in Lynchburg is typically 20-25 degrees in winter, which is conducive for skiing at the Wintergreen Resort. With temperatures of 80-85 degrees in the summer, the weather makes for great golfing, hiking, horseback riding, and canoeing.

Some of the attractions in Lynchburg include Appomattox Courthouse, the National D-Day Memorial, the Lynchburg Museum, and Natural Bridge, which is one of the seven wonders of the world.
