Cookeville, Tennessee is the county seat of Putnam County and home to Tennessee Technological University. The city’s population is over 28,000, while the Cookeville micropolitan area is the largest in the state with over 100,000 residents.

Cookeville is located about 80 miles east of Nashville and 100 miles west of Knoxville. The average monthly high in winter is in the 50’s while the summer average is in the upper 80’s. Annual precipitation is about 51 inches while the average snowfall is only 8 inches.
