Located thirty miles east of Spokane, Washington, Coeur d'Alene is the biggest city in the Idaho panhandle with a
population of 50,000. It is also the county seat of Kootenai
County.

Coeur d’Alene experiences a cooler climate with
the average temperatures in Coeur d’Alene being 31
degrees Fahrenheit for the winter and only about 63 degrees
Fahrenheit for the summer months. Though the temperatures are
little chilly, it still leaves plenty of opportunities for
outdoor fun.
There are many opportunities to get in touch with nature in
Coeur d’Alene since the city borders the west side of the Coeur
d’Alene National Forest. There are many campgrounds and lakes
to explore around the forest, and sparkling 30-mile-long Lake Coeur d’Alene is
also nearby. If you are
looking for a little more adventure in your retirement, Coeur
d’Alene is home to two ski resorts. |
The city is also known for its large, colorful Christmas
light display. It is among the largest in the nation and has been
featured on national television programs.
