Most people recognize California as full of glitz and glamour. But
there’s more to California than Hollywood. With the population of the
state reaching just beyond 36 million people, the Golden State is one of
the largest states in the country, and with temperatures in most areas
rarely dipping below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, there is nothing you can’t
do in California.
The state has a rich culture and history, from the Mexican War of
Independence to the Gold Rush. Since the 1800s California has always been
a dream for those who want to find success and freedom. The state is also
culturally diverse because of its proximity to Mexico. Hollywood
draws people from all over the world.
The state is located next to the Pacific Ocean, on the country’s west
coast, and covers a large amount of
coastal area, desert, and mountains. This geographical variety
creates a diverse climate makes it easy to choose from thousands of recreational activities.
There is skiing and snowboarding in the mountains. There are over 100
state parks and reserves all across the state to check out. California is
also home to three NFL teams, three NHL teams, four NBA teams, and five
baseball teams. There are also
attractions for the grandkids and your own inner child, including Disneyland or Knotts Berry Farm. There are also fourteen zoos all
across the state to visit.
If you want to live in California, there are many great areas from
which to choose. You can immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of the major
cities, or you can choose to live in a smaller community and still enjoy
all the great things that California has to offer. Eureka!
