Arkansas Retirement Communities
The cost-of-living in Arkansas is less than the national
average, and home prices are below average. It rains quite a bit
here, with an average of only about 120 days of sunshine a year.
In July, temperatures reach the low 90s, and it can get awfully muggy,
and in January, low 30s are not uncommon.

Hot Springs, Arkansas
This is a really lovely retirement
community nestled in rolling forested hills with a smattering of
clear blue lakes. This town of about 36,000 is not what one
might expect in the middle of Arkansas (actually, 50 miles
southwest of Little Rock). It's surprisingly cosmopolitan,
with dozens of excellent restaurants, a restored downtown, art
galleries and many amenities found in larger cities.
Residents are from all over the country. You'll find
single family homes and town homes for sale. There are no
age restrictions, and the average age here is 63. Oh, and if
you enjoy golf, there are five 18-hole golf courses.

Bella Vista Village
Located on 40,000 acres in the very northwest corner of the
state, this retirement community was built in 1965, so it is fairly
well established. There are no age restrictions, and the
average age is 57. Children are allowed as residents.
This community has plenty of amenities, including seven golf
courses, eight lakes, three recreation centers, five clubhouses,
twelve tennis courts, a yacht club and three parks. Discounted
rates if you'd like to come check it out.
